My favorite cigar stop in Vegas..

Finally, I get sit down and start up the EhBrahCheckDisOut blog once again.   Always wanted to give this pie shop a try and just so happened days after my wife and I got to welcome our newest addition to the family, daughter #2, I wanted to show a little appreciation to the nursing staff at the Kapiolani Women's and Children's Hospitial. Well the POG pie was a home run with both my family and the nurses.  The Hawaiian Pie Co. located right on Waikamilo Rd. in Kalihi next to a sports bar and Fujiya the old manju shop. Yep, POG... Passion Orange Guava pie and what made it fantastic, they use BUTTER, they put a lot of heart into their product and you can tell by the taste of it.  Right in the shop, the lady that helped me encourage to try the little samples of the various pies, even the blue pineapple pie tasted awesome.  The blue pineapple which is Blueberry and pineapple in a pie. I thought it was a good combo and I honestly hate pineapple  but after trying this and also enjoying the creation of chocolate covered pineapple (Yeah the ones you can get a Dole stand in Wahiawa and Tommy Bahama had it part of their product.)

The shop is real cozy and the people there are real nice. A pie starts of around $20 and varies on the flavor as you see pie menu board at the Hawaiian Pie Co. shop.  For the store of operations was a challenge for me but they are open 7 am to 3pm  Tuesday through Friday, open til 5pm on Saturdays and closed Sunday and Monday. In addition, they got a pie of the month and various our pastries.  Go check it out, I did!! EhBrahCheckDisOut.
