EhBrahCheckDisOut @ Real A Gastropub in Honolulu

Real a Gastropub established in 2012 & located at 1020 Auahi St. Bldg 1 Ste 1000 Honolulu, HI across Ward Warehouse and sandwiched inbetween neighbors Sports Authority & Dave and Busters. Open Monday thru Saturday 2pm to 2am and closed on Sundays.

If you are a big fan of micro brewery beers this is a must, they have a rotation of 20 something beers on tap. The folks there are pretty knowledgeable about the different brews including the alcohol % content. Take note they don't serve the Power beer brands like Bud, Bud Light & Heineken but they do have a few of the Hawaii micro brewery beers for you to partake.

At Real a Gastropub, the atmosphere inside I did get a kick out of the whole pub feel. They got a few booths including table style and outdoor seating  to drink and dine or just pull up right the bar as they have bar stool seats as well.

When we went to try the beers and the food ofcourse, it was right a happy hour, so the place slowly filled up. Our guy Adam got us started with telling us the beers on the selection board, it's pretty neat written on a dry erase above the bar and behind our seats on a chalkboard. The day we go, they had 29 different beers to choose from. Adam did a run down on the food menu which they got a 2pm to 4pm simple menu and after 4pm a full bar food parade of all kinds of good stuff on the opposite page.

This is their Citrus seared Sashimi, interesting but pretty good with the different flavors drizzled over it.

The Fried Buffalo style Deviled Eggs, a winnah! Deep fried coated with Panko crumbs and a creamy taste and the spiced flavor of the Buffalo sauce like you'd taste on some wings.  Get a couple trays because after a bite you won't want to share it!

A Beef Braised Poutine, you gotta try this baby! Fries, Gravy, Cheese Curds, little pieces of beef topped with a Fried Egg. Saw this style of a dish created in numerous ways on The Cooking Channel on a couple of shows that we had order this guy.

The Pulled Pork Slider accompanied by a serving of potato salad.

A Ground Chuck Burger Slider.

One of the beers I took on, the Coronado Idiot IPA which is very aromatic, you can smell the beer hops and has a full hearty taste. Something I'd recommend, this beer hails from San Diego, CA.

All in all, a super experience one really worth going back again soon.Next time it will be their well known Bacon Fat Fries, sounds so good!!!! Our guy, Adam was pretty entertaining & he was on top of his game with the beer and food knowledge at this beer heaven. The food brought to the table were like tapa style so with a friends to enjoy would be quite a occasion. Our tab, with all that great food & a few drinks totalled up to under $100.  Check out their website or on Yelp

So EhBrahCheckDisOut and off to the next location!!
